Atziluth — World of Emanation
The Archetypal World. The Divine Names of God. AIN SOPH — the Limitless Light — first concentrates itself into a single point from which all creation proceeds. Atziluth is that primordial point: pure being before form, pure light before shadow, the Kosmic Egg unbroken.

Briah — World of Creation
The Creative World. The realm of the great Archangels. Here the divine will takes its first substantial form. The Qabbalists taught that from the diffused life of AIN SOPH a central point was established — the first manifesting One — and around this radiance the Abyss was formed, leaving behind the Great Privation.

Yetzirah — World of Formation
The Formative World. The realm of the Angelic Choirs. The Qabbalistic system of worlds teaches that 40 rates of vibration — called Spheres — emanate from AIN SOPH. Yetzirah is the world of patterns and intelligences that give shape to the astral plane before it condenses into matter.

Assiah — World of Action
The Material World. The realm of the planets and physical creation. Hall writes that man's body is enveloped in an ovoid of iridescence — the Auric Egg — which bears the same relationship to man's physical body that the globe of AIN SOPH bears to its created universes. Assiah is where the divine becomes tangible.
